Taobaospree + shoes!

Once again I have been a terrible fashion blogger, and neglected this space o(╥﹏╥)o.

However to compensate, I come to you with a kind of review/haul/look at my pretty shoes kind of post!

Yay (づ｡◕‿‿◕｡)づ .

Now I actually have many more posts in the making, I am just writing them all slowly as to make sure they are the best I could possibly produce. I see no point in creating something mediocre just for the sake of doing it!

This post stems from items i recently acquired, I was just so excited about receiving them! 

Basically I ordered from Taobao a few months back (and took a million days to actually pay for all the different sections because I earn a poor, poor amount (╯︵╰,) ) from a different shopping service than last time: 'Taobaospree'.

Now before I begin, I completely recommend using this service over all others. They charge a perfectly reasonable amount as their percentage, and are insanely helpful when (like me) you have no idea what you are doing. I must have sent about 15 emails double and triple checking about the prices, and making sure I got the form filled out correctly and Cici (The person who was working with me in the company) was so sweet and helpful and made sure I was completely at ease.

I wasn't actually expecting to write this review so soon, but after I made the last payment, it must have been less than a week before my items arrived. I was so shocked. Amazing! No complaints from me anyhow!

This time in my Taobao haul, I ordered 2 pairs of shoes (~￣▽￣)~. In the future I would really like to order clothes and accessories too but for now, these will definitely do! 

My legs look so weird..

The shoes themselves are great. Sturdy, well made and quite light in comparison to their platform, whilst maintaining the weight associated with quality. Taobaospree even included two pairs of off white lace ankle socks for free, which was such a sweet touch. With sizing, they are exactly what you order. They don't run small which is common in a lot of asian bought shoes.

Both are super comfy and I can certainly imagine myself wearing them for long periods of time with no trouble at all. This is actually a running theme with all of my Taobao-bought shoes. They are such good quality for the price!

To catch you up on other areas of my life: 

• Uni applications are becoming depressing, after being rejected from two. However I still haven't heard from two, so fingers crossed! If all else fails, I can always try my luck in clearance, right?
• I got a really shit tattoo, which I then got covered up with a cute heart, so thats cool :P. (Always research your tattooist, friends).
• I am going to Secret Garden Party this year! If anyone else is, be sure to comment or message so we can meet up and get fucked! 〜(^∇^〜）（〜^∇^)〜
• I am also attending Hyper Japan this summer! Once again, hit me up y'all! I am also going to apply for the fashion show so fingers crossed for that >.<. I am thinking Visual Kei/ Oshare kei and Cult Party Kei...
• I am planning (yet another) tattoo! It is going to be some Ayabie lyrics from their song 'TheMe', which mean a hell of a lot to me. They will be going down inside my forearm in the traditional Japanese way (going down and backwards, not left to right) over my scars. (Lame I know lol).

I will really try my best to write blog posts for you guys, and for myself. I am still struggling with myself for many reasons, and now all my friends at work are leaving to go to Hull :'). However I shall just use this as a chance to just write more! Do more of what I love.

HYPER JAPAN AND ALICE THE ALPACA

Hello all! 

Greetings! A quick blog post about my visit to good old London town, to go to the event: HYPER JAPAN CHRISTMAS MARKET! WoooOOooOOoo...

Basically it was amazing and the shows were so good and I wanted to buy everything I could see. I am definitely there next summer! Hoping to apply for the fashion show too next time!

HERE WE HAVE: Cult party kei coord from Hyper Japan this saturday, China town street wear from this sunday before I took Purikura with my boyfriend, the Purikura itself, and a selfie waiting for said photo to be printed!

By the way i totally recommend going to this Purikura machine in London (Chinese market upstairs). The lady was so lovely and even though it is such an old machine, it is so fun to do! They have a facebook page too, which i shall link here.

Showishes shoe review *:･ﾟ✧ ｡ ♥

Hello, hooray, let the show begin!

Yet again I have been a slacker in the blogging department, but from applying to UCAS for university and work (and being skint) I haven't had much to write about.

But fear no more! Hitokeki has a review once again! And this time it is from the lovely Storenvy shop called Showishes.  

I have been building a winter themed Cult Party Kei coord over the past month and I came to the realisation that I have not one white shoe in my closet. Fortunately I came across this store from a fellow blogger and facebook friend and lo and behold! My eyes suddenly feasted upon the beauty I am about to show to you today.

Aside from the actual post packaging, it came wrapped like this, I think the personal bag was a really nice touch, making you feel like you are really getting quality. Plus the shoes themselves were very protected (although the bubble wrap didn't pop as satisfyingly as the chef at work and I had hoped..).  (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

Inside in addition to the shoes, came a beautiful handwritten card and a free pair of cute lavender horn clips! So, not only did they spell my name right, but I get a super cute accessory to boot! THANKYOU SHOWISHES! <3 ┌( ಠ‿ಠ)┘

Beautiful, right? These shoes are incredibly well made, and definitely worth the money. They aren't the real deal, but the quality is good enough for me (until I can get my little hands on some real ones at least!).

Details!

The detailing in the tongue is one of my favourite parts to this shoe. Cute beads are jumbled behind the mesh to give a striking and distinctive look along with the heart shape at the top. Even the eyelets are heart shaped to match the heart cut outs on the top of the body. 

Sizing 

I'm not going to lie guys, I spent a lot of time and confusion on the sizing of these shoes. The sizing chart on the website is definitely wrong, and I compared many, many websites until I deduced that the size L was approximately a UK size 6. Yay! It was just my size! ^_^.

When I tried on the shoes they definitely fit, however it is a little tight due to the height of the part your actual foot goes in to, but I'm sure it will ease up with a bit of wearing in!

I would also recommend with these shoes that you tie the laces really tight. Due to the placement of the eyelets it is easy for your feet to slip about a lot, so make sure you are definitely secure!

Overall I am so happy with this purchase and if the other products are as good as this, I am definitely going back! In addition, the shipping was a decent speed to the UK so I can't really complain!

So now I go back to watching Harry Potter and enjoying my quiet evening :3

Hello, hooray, let the lights grow dim... I've been ready.

OH GOD GUYS I'M SO SORRY IT HAS BEEN SO LONG (✖╭╮✖)

However, yay! I'm back with another little post.

I've been insanely busy recently with work and other things, i just haven't had time to sit down and write... so i'll tell you a little about what i have been doing recently.

Okay, so around a month ago i bit the bullet and commented my picture on a status... and got accepted into the site modelling page 'Gore site modeling'! I have been pretty busy with that, doing shoots and stuff which is really fun! Not only does it give me motivation to create new outfits and just dress up more in general, but it really feels like i'm part of an amazing family who look after each other, and no-one is left out :3 Shoutout to you beautiful girlies! 

I also made quite a large, life changing decision ..

I have decided............... I am going to finally go to uni!

After a long time thinking i wanted to do fashion, musing over my options and generally getting nowhere, i realised that, duh.. it had been looking me in the face for years. Obviously i am going to do Japanese studies!
I feel that after leaving college and working full time for nearly 2 years, i am finally ready to go back into education, and that i will be more motivated to learn and exceed. 

To help me enrol onto this course i decided i am going to get a head start in learning the Japanese language (since i didn't take a language in GCSE or A level it will be harder for me to get in) so in the next year this will become a big part of my life that i will probably want to practice on you guys!

Also..
By the time i actually start the course i will be considered a mature student (lol) lol [LOL] wut.

ANYWAY i want to show you my new favourite wig from the amazing online store 'Geisha Wigs' because the owner is so lovely and the wig is just so high quality and i LOVE it.

(It was easter when i bought this, hence the cutie chick :3)

Lovely packaging of course, in fact recently the packaging has got even cuter, i urge you all to order and find out! ಠ◡ಠ

'Taobao' Shopping!

A few weeks ago, musing about outfits and general fashion related business,  i decided that I needed some new shoes. Not just any old shoes, but some real cool, chunky masterpieces to go with just about any outfit that has black involved... which is nearly my entire wardrobe >.<.

This caused me to have an epiphany. "TAOBAO!!" I cried.  This was the perfect excuse to explore the wonderful (albeit confusing) world of shopping services and Chinese eBay shopping!

So after (not much) research, i chose the shopping service 'Taobaoring', to help me purchase these beauties.

Now, if you don't know, a 'shopping service' is a service in which you pay someone from a given country (China in this case) to buy items from your chosen store, and they ship them to you personally. Unless you actually have a friend living in that country to do this for you, you have to use one of the many services online which will take a commission for that service, usually 8 - 10%. 'Taobaoring' takes 8%.

This may seem like a lot, but given the price of items on Taobao, it is in fact cheaper than buying from ebay or amazon in total, even with shipping fees! The incredibly cheap prices on this website is the reason why hundreds of people just like me, use Taobao for this kind of shopping. For example; some skeleton hair clips on taobao could be less than 50p depending on the seller, but on eBay they can be £7 or even more!

I'm not going to go into much detail on buying from Taobao in this post, but comment below if you want me to make a specific post on doing so, and I will :).

This is the box these beauties came in, i asked for it to be without the shoe box to save money on shipping, but the cardboard it came in was very secure, i nearly couldn't get into it there was so much tape. There's no way these babies were coming out during shipping.. 

Inside they were wrapped as above, like little socks for the shoes :3. They also came with two pairs of insoles for the front half of the shoe for comfort (and incase you lost one pair!), which i thought was lovely and thoughtful.

Please, gaze in awe at the beauty and grace that emanate within...

Or not, its cool either way (~￣▽￣)~

Basically; These shoes are awesome, the sizing specified is completely correct, they are comfy and really well made, not to mention exactly like the picture :)! They also have a red tartan insole, so what's not to love (✪㉨✪)!

'SpreePicky' review

Happy Easter, internet dwellers! I'm back with another review. This time it is for the storenvy shop: 'SpreePicky' ^_^.

Since I'm building up a sweet lolita coord i 'obviously' need a new wig to go with it, and i thought i'd try out a blonde from the SpreePicky collection. >:)

This is how it came packaged (I got so excited by my mail at work that I had to open it straight away, but managed to keep it neat for pictures.)

It came with a really cute handwritten message in a heart shaped card with 'Thankyou' on the front, a cute pearl hair clip with a lilac bow on it, and a wig cap. 

The wig was presented really neatly with all the curls placed so that they fell down like a waterfall when you took the net off, so there was no tangling. 

The wig itself is so soft and a nice thickness so you can't see the wig cap through the fibres, but you also aren't overloaded with hair when you wear it! It has a realistic quality to it and the colour is a really natural blonde. The curls seem to hold nicely when brushed (gently) and it falls perfectly around my face where the layers are cut. 

Since most wigs don't come with a full fringe, i cut one in myself. After trial and error, I've decided that this is the style that suits me most and this is how I like it. 

I searched all over the internet for the perfect colour, the perfect curl, the perfect length... This is definitely exactly what i was looking for. Be sure to check out the other wigs on the site, there are super cute ones perfect for cosplay or everyday looks, at a very reasonable price with a decent shipping time (at least to the UK! I can't really vouch for any other country :3). 

PLUS it not only does wigs, but a good range of other cute clothes and accessories which i can't wait to try out when spendable money blows in my direction... 

Now i'll go back to not being able to move, due to barbecued chicken, burgers, sausages, salad, ice-lollies.... the list could go on.. (￣□￣)

HELLO ALL

Congratulations on finding my blog! This is the space where I ramble about anything and everything as well as fashion-y stuff.

I finally put my birthday money (from 2 months ago) into my bank account and i went on a little bit of a spending spree... okay a big spending spree D:.

I've been wanting to get some new clothes for a while, since i only ever seem to spend money on food at the moment. The shit bits of living independently I guess!

Some of the things have already arrived, like more skeleton tights (mine had definitely run their course..) and some lilac creepers with white soles that I can't stop thinking about. Oh my.. the outfits i am going to create! ( ಠ◡ಠ )

I also got a silver wig, which i am sooo in love with. When i'm not at work it seems to be all i wear these days! 
I'm also really enjoying putting more colour in my outfits. Before it was just black, black and more black with a splash of white, but now i am forcing myself to buy colourful things to experiment and try new styles for summer! 
One style i am the most excited about trying though, is 'cult party kei'! I've been building some items slowly over a number of months and soon it should be complete.                                                                    ( ͡° ͜ʖ ( ͡° ͜ʖ ( ͡° ͜ʖ ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ͜ʖ ͡°)ʖ ͡°)ʖ ͡°)

To get to the point though, I got a new bag and I want to show you. (≧ω≦)

Here we have the inside and outside (｡♥‿♥｡).

I wanted one of these bags for so long and >finally< I can let myself get one now that my old bag died! My favourite part is that the wings flap when i walk.

I think this bag is perfect for street style, it's super cute and really stands out in the crowd. Not something you usually see in the streets of boring York!

As you can see it has a decent amount of safe pockets too, and is really secure despite the drawstring top. I can fit everything i need in it, its well made, and super comfy to wear.

One thing that made me laugh was that it smelt like bees :3. I guess they have rubbed bees wax on it to make it polished, but I love the smell, it reminds me of eating honeycomb honey on french bread >_<.

I am really excited to write about shopping from taobao soon. It is my first experience doing it and it is really quite scary! The shoes i ordered though are babes, so that might be quite a long post. ¯\(©¿©) /¯
